About Me

This blog is my outlet for all the exciting, yet sometimes overwhelming, ideas and thoughts on our October 2010 Hunter Valley wedding – and the happily ever after!

The Vision for The Groom & I is to have a wedding filled with lots of fun and love – a day celebrating with family &  friends, and lots of beautiful food & drinks!

Let the countdown begin!

About The Groom & I

We met over 7 years ago – I was 19, he was 24. The Groom is a Pre Press Operator/Graphic Designer & I am an Executive Assistant. We have 2 beautiful cats. We love cooking & eating good food, and the accompanying wine. In our spare time he plays the guitar in a band, and I dance (not to his band)!

Hey Wedding Twin – love the blog! I can’t be bothered doing one now at this stage, but will enjoy yours and will share your countdown, to the day!

  2. Hey Chanel
What a cool idea & I’m going to love reading your blog (I’ve subscribed so I won’t miss a post).
I run 2 Function Centres in Canberra & we do weddings all the time, so I’m really interested to know all the challenges and great ideas fabulous brides have.
If you’d like to ‘pick my brain’ for ideas feel free.

    Hi Chanel! 🙂

You’re the only person I know who’d do a wedding blog…lol. I love the look of your reception centre, and the idea of potted herbs on the tables. A word of warning about bubbles, though….they can leave marks on your dress!

    Love & hugs,

    Hi Chanel

I stumbled across your blog today while I researching on potentially having Muse as my wedding venue in NOv 2011. After reading a few posts, I realised that you have exactly the same taste as me (brilliant taste I might add!) I want exactly the same type of look. Simple, fresh, modern with a touch of vintage and most of all real fun, great food and fab wine. I am also set on having a thumbprint guestbook as well as a birdcage for cards and was pleasantly surprised that you had them too! I’m so glad you had a great experience with Muse and just wanted to say, thank you for sharing your wonderful wedding planning adventure with us! I’m sure your blog will be great help as I embark on mine! Congats on the wedding 🙂

    • Hi Viv!

Thanks for your comment 😀 Brilliant taste indeed! It all sounds fantastic of course 😉 I’m glad you found my blog and I hope it helps you. You’re welcome to send me an email or post here with any questions regarding Muse or anything else wedding related 🙂

Muse was such a great venue, we highly recommend it. Megan said they’re looking at only doing 1 wedding a month this year. If you speak to her feel free to say I’ve raved about them haha 😀

Good luck in your decision making!
